What is Bravelle used for?
Bravelle is a purified form of a hormone called follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). This hormone is important in the development of follicles (eggs) that are produced by the ovaries in women. Bravelle is used together with other medicines to treat infertility in women with FSH deficiency.
Does Bravelle cause ovulation?
Bravelle is used together with other medicines to treat infertility in women with FSH deficiency. This medicine is also used to help the ovaries produce multiple eggs for use in "in-vitro" fertilization. Bravelle alone will not cause ovulation (production of an egg by the ovaries). You will need to receive other medicines to stimulate ovulation.

Can Bravelle ® be used during pregnancy?
BRAVELLE ® is contraindicated in women who are pregnant. If this drug is used during pregnancy, or if the woman becomes pregnant while taking this drug, the woman should be apprised of the potential hazard to a fetus. BRAVELLE® administered for 7 to 12 days produces ovarian follicular growth in women who do not have primary ovarian failure.
What are the side effects of Bravelle®?
BRAVELLE® may cause serious side effects, including: serious allergic reactions. Symptoms of allergic reactions include: If you have a serious allergic reaction, stop using BRAVELLE® and call your healthcare provider or go to the nearest hospital emergency room right away. ovaries that are too large.
